Insurance Automation Group Previews New Features of iAutomate: Recovery CaseManager Solution for Health Claims Recovery at National Other Party Liability Group Conference

New dashboard and mobile features improve the recovery of subrogatable health claims for health plans, commercial recovery firms, and self-insured providers WESTBROOK, ME – April 9, 2014 – Insurance Automation Group previews new features of its iAutomate: Recovery CaseManager health cost containment solution at this week’s National Other Party Liability Group (NOPLG) conference. The new version will feature mobile functionality, multichannel capabilities, and an improved user interface to enable health plans, commercial recovery firms, and self-insured companies to improve their health care subrogation recovery process and revenues.

Healthcare subrogation is growing in proportion to the growth of the overall healthcare market: on average, health plans generate $2B in paid claims per million lives covered. Up to one percent of those claims, or $20 million per million lives covered, are eligible for subrogation. Insurance Automation Group has worked with its customers to incorporate features and functionality designed to boost recoveries and streamline operations. New features of iAutomate: Recovery CaseManager will include:

  • An improved user interface that includes dashboard views for each person within the recovery process: individual analysts can view information on cases assigned and in process along with recovery goals; supervisors can review analyst case load and performance as well as gain insight on recoveries generated within a specific time period, by case type, by analysts, compared with goals, or any other criteria. Individuals can simply click on any case to drill down for specific detail.
  • A new mobile version of the solution for smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices. Remote workers, attorneys assigned to manage specific cases, and other authorized mobile workers can access all features of iAutomate: Recovery CaseManager, including case details, from their mobile device.
  • New automated task assignment feature that streamlines the set-up of new cases. Health plans and other system users can establish a set of standard tasks based on case type and status, and automatically assign them for analyst follow-up. This eliminates manual tasks from the subrogation workflow process, and improves accountability for case management.
  • Multichannel capabilities to improve questionnaire response rates. In addition to traditional mail, patients can respond to external questionnaires on claims via a web interface as well as via phone. Health plans and other firms can use their own call centers or external firms, and ensure compliance with a guided call-tree solution that prompts staff to ask the right questions of members, and document their responses directly within iAutomate: Recovery CaseManager.
